About Tyler D. Handcock, MD
After completing his Bachelor of Science in chemistry at South Dakota School Mines and Technology in Rapid City, South Dakota, Dr. Handcock went on to earn his Doctor of Medicine at the University of South Dakota School of Medicine in Vermillion, South Dakota.
Dr. Handcock then completed his OB/GYN residency at Texas A&M Health Science Center College of Medicine, Baylor Scott and White Health (BSW) in Temple, Texas.
He holds a Texas medical license and is a professional member of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG), the Texas Association of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, and the American Medical Association (AMA).
In addition to excellent patient care, Dr. Handcock has been voted best teacher by Texas A&M medical students, best upper-level teacher by his colleagues, and best upper-level teaching resident. He’s also received the best surgeon award from AAGL.
When he’s not taking care of his patients, Dr. Handcock volunteers his time promoting fitness and health. He is an avid runner qualifying and competing in the Boston Marathon multiple times. He also enjoys outdoor activities with his partner, Dan, and their dog Finnigan.
